Small enough to do it right!

High-End, Executive-Level Answering with accurate messages, efficiently taken. Serving businesses and residences since 1985. We can be your personal virtual office.

Getting started

Basically, we act as if we are your executive secretaries in the next room but we are only as efficient as the extent of information we are given. We like to have lots of info so we can sound as knowledgeable as possible.

Here's a list of things I will need from you if you wish to proceed:

  • $400 for the first month in my hand before I call in any hook-ups.
  • Full company name/Greeting, aka's etc.. plus all phone numbers we will be answering.
  • Company address & may we give this out?
  • What your company does; brochures, pricing & whatever details you'd like us to give out.
  • Names of any employees or whatever names callers will ask for.
  • Contact info.(cells, back lines, faxes, E-Mails) for said employees and instructions for how to handle their callers.

You are always welcome to let us know any permanent or daily instructions to handle your calls. If this is all too much for you to compile, we can always start with almost nothing and work the bugs out as we go. Either way, once the chips have fallen, your life will be a whole lot easier.

Let’s be real.Who would want to sit at your phone for 50 hours a week doing all this stuff for $400 per month?
We would!

Our Services

Hooking up - Choose What Works Best for You

Option One
  • I can rent you a phone number.
  • ‍We can put a caller through to you anywhere and under any circumstances, as well as offering voicemail if you don't pick up, etc.
  • ‍Once you're using the line I rent you, we answer it in your company name or however you like.
  • You may forward as many lines to it as you want but bear in mind that we can't differentiate what line they are dialing so the greeting must remain the same.
  • I charge a flat $400 per month for unlimited services.
Option Two
  • If $400 per month is too expensive and you don’t need a personalized greeting, I can rent you an all purpose line that is shared with other clients.
  • We answer “Good Morning” or “Good Afternoon” and your callers would have to ask for you or whatever subject you’re handling by name in order for us to take a message or patch them over to you.
  • The cost for that is a flat $200 per month.
Temporary services
  • I charge a minimum $200 for anything under 2 weeks.
Billing procedures
  • I send out my billing on the 25th of each month, so you will be sure to have it by the first.
  • I bill one month in advance, and you have until the 25th of that month to pay your bill and have it be current.
  • If I have not received full payment by the 25th, it becomes an unpaid balance on your next bill.
  • There is a late fee of $10 added to any past due balance for answering services.
  • Two months past due are subject to a $15 late fee and service discontinuation by the 5th of the coming month with a requirement to pay all three months in full.
  • There is a $25 charge for all returned checks.
  • Since we are a small business, we really appreciate clients who pay promptly.
  • You’re welcome to provide a credit card for monthly auto-payment.

That’s all there is to it!  I hope this is clear.

But, if you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to give me a call. I am always willing to work with clients to our mutual benefit.

About Eve

Eve's Biography & Philosophy

My goal in life is simply to help others… to do as much as I can, as well as I can, for as many people as I can, for as long as I can.

I started answering phones in 1985 as a summer job after high school and just stayed. Having been accepted to a nursing college in Los Angeles, I chickened out because let’s face it, sick people are annoying. So I fell back on my second love…Communications. If I couldn’t help people get well, I could help them communicate more effectively, for more money than with a nursing career and without sore feet. I’ve been doing just that, very happily for over half of my life and have no intention of stopping any time soon. People ask me, “How can you work 50 hours a week with no breaks or vacations? What happens if you get sick or injured?” Well, I actually enjoy working here, strange as that may seem. Since I’m not a 24 hour service, I can leave my worries behind on weekends, nights and holidays to go home to my family. I don’t take breaks or vacations because I get stressed thinking about what’s going on in my absence. My obsessive compulsive tendencies in this regard are very good for my clients. They know I’m there for them every day and if I’m not, please call the police because I’m probably dead in a ditch somewhere. If I’m sick, I work sick and give my help paid time off so they don’t catch it. I suppose it’s only luck that I haven’t gotten too injured to work…Knock on wood. Early in 2009 I got hit by a car while commuting home on my bike and broke one wrist and sprained the other one. Fortunately, the sprained one was my writing hand and I didn’t miss any work but the worst part was getting the broken one casted during business hours. Being away from my switchboard when I’m supposed to be working is a foreign concept to me. Are you getting the picture now? People also ask me if I’m burning out. Not that I know of.

I could do this job forever. I like feeling needed and I’m more grateful that words can describe to be able to make a living doing what I love.

Eve's Favorite Charities: The Stanford Blood Center

The Stanford Blood Center needs your donation! Every whole blood or platelet donation is worth $20 off your bill. Just send me the little card with your vital stats on it and I'll credit your account. Here are some other great reasons to donate:

Beforehand: Load up on high salt goodies, guilt free (to help hydration), have a big steak or turkey dinner (to help iron levels)

During: Be waited on hand and foot by nice nurses and if you give platelets, watch a movie or TV and be well cared for.

Afterwards: Cookies! Then take it easy the rest of the day! Especially, NO heavylifting. This will excuse you from all household chores. If you mustrun errands, be sure your donation sticker and elbow bandage areshowing. People will think you're a freakin' pillar of virtue. It costs nothing but a little time, so go give blood and score some awesome karma points!
